Accountability

We are accountable to those we work with and for—taking full responsibility for our performance, being responsive to feedback, and upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct. We ensure that trust, credibility, and effectiveness remains central to our mission of advancing health and human rights in Southern and East Africa.

ARASA HAS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CORRUPTION

ARASA HAS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CORRUPTION

ARASA does not tolerate any form of unethical conduct from its staff, associates, partners, and stakeholders engaged in ARASA business. Not only does the organisation have a zero appetite for risk, but rather adequate risk management processes.

JUSTICE AND TOLERANCE

JUSTICE AND TOLERANCE

We believe in the inherent dignity, rights, and equality of all people. Justice means ensuring fairness, equity, and redress in all our work—especially for communities that have been historically marginalised or excluded. We strive to dismantle systemic barriers and challenge discrimination wherever it exists. Tolerance reflects our commitment to embracing diversity, respecting differing views, identities, and experiences, and fostering inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. We create and protect environments where dialogue, empathy, and mutual understanding can thrive. Together, justice and tolerance fuel our pursuit of a rights-based and inclusive society where no one is left behind.

OUR OVERALL

OBJECTIVES

To ensure that a legal, policy and social environment exists in southern and east Africa (18 countries) in which people living with HIV and TB and key populations most affected have access acceptable, adordable and quality SRH, HIV and TB prevention, treatment and care services. ARASA works to contribute to these outcomes through Capacity Strengthening and Advocacy, both of which have regional and national components. Our Capacity Strengthening is designed to strengthen civil society capacity for eective HIV, TB and human rights advocacy in southern and east Africa. Our Advocacy is designed to promote an enabling environment for an effective response to HIV, TB and SRHR in southern and east Africa, with human rights at the centre.
