"Show Us The Money For Health!”

Film screening and discussion on advocacy for Key Population funding

With the new funding model for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (Global Fund) inclusion of key populations has been one of the key aspects of grant making. As part of this, ARASA and ITPC, through support from the CRG Special Initiative partnership with the RCNF, have been implementing a project on “Strengthening Key Population Advocacy for the Best Use of Global Fund Resources and Sustainable Funding for HIV & TB in Botswana, Malawi and Tanzania”. The session will screen a short documentary that has been produced as part of the project, highlighting the success from the first year of implementation. Furthermore, the session will explore some of the successes and challenges of this project; the discussion will be focussed on understanding the continuing need to do advocacy for funding for Key Population initiatives and organisations, and exploring ways forward.
